Last night was just a Closed Debate where people were asked to throw around their ideas on how to make these debates work. Not the actual debate itself. We will have the first Structured and well organized debate next weekend! (Polls to vote on Time and Date are to the Right Hand side of the blog, please VOTE!)
Home Open Debates will have everything neat and orderly for the first debate. Kamala_Ona will announce at the beginning of the meeting the layout of these debates and set ground rules before the debates begin. When the debates are underway we ask everyone involved to remember that these debates are ABOUT the ISSUE being talked about and NOT the user speaking themselves so please stay focused on the goal. Please take the time and read over the Home Debates Policy located on the right hand side of this page. We will have a set agenda and itinerary for each debate posted on the blog a few days before each event. So please remember to check the blog weekly.

We are here to work and establish ways to make home better by finding solutions to the problems as a community. Last night was a rough crash course. It honestly was just a nice closed meeting “test run” if i may call it, to see how the wide range of users would be able to interact with one another. But i believe it went rather well to be honest. Unfortunately because of miscommunication and technical difficulties the Debate/Meeting started late and not everyone who wanted to attend received their invitations on time, or at all. We are sorry for that malfunction and we will make sure it goes smoother next week.
Last night we did in fact manage to decide on quite a few questions. Together we decided that everyone will promote these debates as much as possible within home, online, and on the forums. There are TWO signatures being created by Different users (Feel Free To Create your Own As Well) with the two sayings that were decided to be used for these debates.

We also decided that Home Open Debates will be holding a debate each week alternating them between Home and in an Online Chat, held in an internet chat room with a specific url so anyone can plug it and join!

Once every 1st and 3rd week of the month we will be holding the debates on HOME (Time & Day polls are to the side of the page Please Vote)
and on each 2nd and 4th week of the month we will be holding a debate Online in an OPEN Chat Room (final decision on which site to be used will be announced later this week). This way EVERYONE will have a chance to participate in these debates.

A clubhouse can only hold about 20 users and a single instance can hold up to 60 (if i am wrong please correct me) and since we are hoping to expand the number of participants in these debates to well beyond that, the number of users allowed to attend a debate will be filled fast. SO for the users who are NOT able to make it in time to the instance we have a solution so you can be included Online, by Home Open Debates streaming the Debates live online. Please watch the debates and feel free to comment on the Blog on your thoughts.
The Open Online Debates will be a way to have everyone included. Unfortunately not everyone will be able to attend every debate, we do all of course have Real Lives that may interfere with attendance, which is understandable. To those users we have multiple solutions so that you may find out what is happening with the Debates and keep up to date with the topics being covered.
There are multiple solutions available to users to keep connected with these Debates. First we have the Home Open Debates blog, which will be routinely updated, We have the Open Debates held twice a month ON Home, for the users unable to make it to the instance the debates held on Home will be streamed online and broadcasted so viewers can watch the debates as they happen live, The Online Debates being held in a chat room twice a month, and Finally we also will be having the recorded videos of the HOME Debates posted on YouTube after the end of each meeting..
I hope you will continue to work wit us to build HOD wit your effort, ideas, and suggestions as well as votes. Keep checking the side bar for more ways to vote and help shape the Home debates. Also, all week we will continue to post more and more Blog posts submitted by yourselves and your fellow Home users.
