Forum Unity and Respect

It has become painfully obvious that the forums have lost any real value for communicating our ideas and complaints to the Home Community Management Team and to each other. Set aside the constant trolling and flaming, the simple lack of peoples ability to be tactful in the way the express their opinions has led the management team to withdraw from the forums to a great degree. I think we can all agree this is neither our desire or what is best for Home or the future use of the forums as a means to truly express or opinions, desires and complaints. I am not placing all of the blame on us as the managers have chosen to withdraw to the extent they have, however I can really hardly blame them.
To this end I and the users listed at the end of this post agree that our behavior must change on these forums if we expect to be heard and replied to. We believe the following.

                1. We must stop expressing our dislike of an idea by flaming, trolling or otherwise baiting the author or those who post replies the                    author or idea.
    2. We must leave personal grievances off of the forums as personal issues between users is not what these forums are for and they should not be use so.
    3. We must do our best to be aware of the current ideas on the forums and respect previous authors and their ideas instead of posting a new thread identical to theirs. Spam.
    4. We need to be aware also of the current problems and concerns being discussed and give our support to the ideas and concepts we believe in.
    5. Ten thousand ideas are wonderful and are encouraged as no ones opinion should be discarded off handedly; however, we need to learn to be aware of current events on Home and the forums and try to stand as one on a single issue and get it pushed through to the management by our overwhelming agreement.
    6. We would also like for the management to be more communicative and work with us on the issues that are foremost in our minds as expressed by us as a united group.
7 We also feel we must hold ourselves to the same standard to which we hold the management. Their posts are respectful and ours should be as well.

We believe that this is the only way we can make any progress toward the true communication with the management we are all so much desiring. We would like to ask everyone to join us in this and work toward a better forums and a better Home for all.

  2. Well, Crunk and Ona, it appears that some anonymous flamers have decided to try to make your blog into Jerry Springer also. Might have to figure a way to keep that from happening too so no one ruins the whole goal of the Open Debates altogether before they even start!

  3. ^_^ thank you Rev. i agree!

as of now i will be moderating the comments submitted to this blog..as long as the comments are ABOUT the ISSUE being talked about and NOT the user speaking themselves then EVERY comment will be allowed! i ask please stay on topic, for these debates are to find away AROUND all the drama so we can come together and Focus on the Issues.
