Hey Guys and Gals, my privileged and poor, friend and foe, Helghast, ISA, Chimera, SRPA, Valor, Raven, S.V.E.R. (FTW) and the whole cast of West Side Story
Tonite is our first debate. Granted this debate is a closed debate :*( Put down the razor, dont cut down the lane just yet. The Open Debate (and really our first debate) will be next week, and everyone, including you (please come) is more than welcome! (more info to come in the upcoming week on that)Tonight is just to get the gears in place and turning. A test run, and a way to gather some of the more frequent users wit maybe some history to work through, before we can work together further in the future. Its kinda like a high school reunion but with the kids from the movie “Carrie”! So dont feel bad if u weren’t invited. In fact, you should feel lucky.
Because it means you dont have shit personal grievances to work out with other users. Because tonight is just that, a meeting for us try and get through our personal grievances and put all that stuff behind us so Home can once again become the issue.
So feel glad u dodged that bullet. But if u still feel left out i suggest you just watch a few episodes of A&Es “Intervention” and then you can catch the whole debate on youtube later, i’m sure. And dont forget to save the date for the OPEN DEBATE which will either be friday or saturday. But if u were invited, Make sure you except the Club house invitation from 4-Respect GW(2) run by Kimturian!
This is the first and (Probably) last time we will use a clubhouse i think. But if u want to attend, you gotta except. If u didn’t get an invite and swore u were coming, then let us know and we will get u added (unless we secretly dont want u there - joke).
Here is roughly the plan. The Debate should get under way at 9pm Eastern Time (8pm Central, 7pm Mountain, and 6pm Pacific) Take notice to the nifty little countdown ticker at the top of the blog counting down to tonight, so there is no reason to not see u there. We will also send yall reminders through xmb close to the event.
Kamala_Ona will host the event and start out wit some opening remarks and set the mood and theme for the night. Then everyone will pick their weapon of choice and take their aggression out. The one left standing gets a $20 psn card, JOKE, although we might do something like that later. Honestly, knowing nothing goes according to plan, we haven’t put too much concentration behind the exact order and design of how this is going to happen.
This is a rough draft for the later event. We are still brain storming. And everything seems to work fine in theory but in practice its a different matter. This will be the pilot episode for the Open Debate and we want to get everyone to help and contribute their ideas and help format the open debates. But we have a rough idea and guide line where everyone will take turns talking for a minute or 2, then there will be responses for a minute or 2 then the next person will go, k? we will see it how it unfolds. But we got to keep ourselves in line as far as time goes so we can get something done tonite. If some things still are not settled at the end between users, we suggest the conversation be carried onto a personal space where any of us would be glad to mediate if need b so you guys and gals can put whatever it is behind you no matter how long it takes.

I hope to see yall there, it should be fun, be prepared to open yourself up to criticism and different views and not only put yourself in the shoes of another, but try and understand their point as well. Look at yourself as critically as others and try to remove any biases that might get in the way. Any questions? Please feel free to Leave them bellow
I hope that for once, everyone understands and we just want to focus on the application. We don't need anymore confrontations with other users. Lets take it to the next level.
Well today is the last time its about the users. but after that yes, lets take it to the next level.
I had a good time tonight. I didn't say much, but I felt like I got to know people rather well. Which, of course, is beneficial to productive communication.
Just a constructive criticism .... the next time we meet lets get in , discuss , reach agreements and the disperse. Lets not sit around and coffee talk for to long after the main objectives of the meeting are reached. Just my opinion. Other than that i thought it was a great start to forming a consensus on how we are to approach going forward. If you have any questions on why i feel this way , feel free to contact me by adding HLPPE to your list and simply drop me a message in the Friend Request note section that you would like to discuss this matter on a mic. Thats a great suggestion Hippe, thank you, we need imput like yours, we need ways to improve and want everyone to hold equal share in this and help build it together.
And thank you hippe for comming tonight. You were awesome, and realy got the meeting focused and going. Me and Ona just sat back and let you take the pressure off us, thank you soo much for that.
Indeed, you did a really great job at functioning as a chair person, Hippe, and it was greatly appreciated. I also agree that we must meet with an agenda stick to it and disperse. These debates are not for our personal dialogue. I think Ona put it best - We are not here to make friends. If we wish to meet up with the people involved outside the debates and develop friendships with them then that is fine, but the debates should remain free of our personal socialization.
for the most part, i had a good time. i'm glad we got personal grievances out of the way tonight, the next debate should be even better because of that. my one suggestion would be to replace the coffin couches with a different couch haha. but for the most part it was a chill, civil debate/conversation amongst all of us which is good.
:( Dangit I really did miss too much of the debate! I suppose I was only there at the socializing part, eh? Lol Well I'm glad that it did go well. I hope next time I can make it---and at the beginning!!

Home watch and Nos, you guys (or gals, idk) are more than welcome to come, please do! We are gonna try and do the next debate in a public space i think, but we might hold off on that. But we are definetly trying to get everyone involved. We had a slight communication problem and didnt get everyone invited but we will work on all of that.
We are making a new post soon to help get you guys to make the decisions for us on how to take these debates to the next level. thank you for your opinions and suggestions, we need them to build a better event and a better home.

and if you guys start to do this in an open space i'll probably stop coming, it's best to keep it in a private space with open invitations.
Good to voice your opinion Kapow. we will take the suggestion to keep the Debates held in a private space with open invitations under consideration. im pretty sure you are not alone in wanting it that way. the first couple debates will most likely still be held in a clubhouse. We will have the live debate streamed online so everyone can watch the debates as they happen.
Well Kapow we cant have managers stop by if its a personal space, or a club house. Many of us cant bitch when the HCM visit certain peoples private spaces and then think its ok when they visit OUR space.
But that aside, we arent doing this for the managers to show, but if you look at why its wrong for the managers to hold things in private spaces, the same holds true to us. It seems like we are having backroom deals, and we just become another form of a reclusive cliques within home, thats not realy open to everyone. I agree, its better to have the option of a mic available in these debates, but we also saw that the mics caused some troubles. We would be sad if u did not attend because of it being in public, but we will also have the Online Web chats available for u to join us in, and we might switch it up from time to time and see how things go. We want you guys to be apart of the decisions and make them for us, So i think i might add a vote about where they should be held after we try out the different options.
the mics are good, it's just unfortunate that there is lag and the whole echo thing that you get when in personal spaces. i guess if one person is talking on a mic, everyone else should stfu and wait for that person to say what they need to say, you know, like a debate lol.
which is another problem with doing it in public spaces: no open mic.
also, i personally don't really care if an HCM shows up or not. think about it, if we did it in a public space, and an HCM was there, everyone whos not actually tying to have a serious discussion would keep running up to the HCM and disrupt the overall flow of the debate. you know what i mean?
Okey Dokey... I am working on Both videos... aparently I will have to edit sounds due to the Potty mouths, Does the Club have that evolving Piggy band, cause we need it in the club, I am also guilty here... However I wasnt to say I was kinda disapointed in the Maturity of some of the Members... I can not say that i am the best in this department... Yet no one should be alinated... all people should be heard, no matter what your personal oppinion of them is... and I have to say THat I am almost embarised to post the entire video... yet I will not =censor others opinions, so heres the deal... I will participate as much as I can, yet if the maturity of the Members ar not in check I will have to rethink how I approch the community as a member of Home open Debates... Sadly I was disapointed in the manner that some people acted... again I am not saying I am the most mature person in the world yet if we can not keep ourselves in check how on earth do we expect to apeal to the HOME creators... SO I will try my best to work with the HOME open debates in making HOME a betteer place...
